Artist Talk & Opening Exhibition

Presenting works by eight artists based in Jakarta, “From Another Time” serves as a response, investigation, and exploration of the theme “alternative history”, depicted through artworks of different mediums. The works were created in a sense that it intersects with the past as an attempt to disrupt or influence an increasingly polarized society in the past few years. Along with the ideas and applied concepts of the young creative practitioners, through this exhibition, we were invited to revisit a shared, inherited history. As though one individual is responsible for their own history, a group of individuals have the grave responsibility to regulate it.
