Three talented illustrators shared about ‘The World of Illustration: Understanding The Competitiveness Of Asian Illustrators’ at the opening of Reka Rupa Rasa Illustration Festival on Friday, 20 July 2018.

Koichiro Kashima was born in 1991, he is a young and next generation’s artist based in Osaka, Japan. He is good at expressing heartwarming, pampering and charming wonderlands with his great precise and careful touch of brushing technique using transparent soft color water paints. The awarding of Kyoto Seika University Graduation Exhibition 2018 with president prize (TAKEMIYA Keiko), UNKNOWN ASIA ART EXCHANGE OSAKA 2017, UNKNOWN ASIA ART EXCHANGE OSAKA 2016. Throughout variety of artistic talents on illustrations, children’s books, animations and character figures, he represents his own world with the scratch of his illustrations.

Nuttapong Daovichitr is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Bangkok, Thailand. Interested in his innermost feelings or some daily states of being. Daily objects and human are implemented as his representation to create scenario for audience to understand those feelings or conditions he is implying. The story is usually told by his simple yet detailed drawing lines, which are unique and recognizable . Emerging Awards Illustration Design – Finalist 2015, “Unknown Asia 2016”, Osaka, Japan – Exhibitor, “Unknown Asia Extra 2016”, Osaka, Japan – Exhibitor. Presently, he has been working as a Visual Communicator for PRACTICAL Design Studio.

Yeji Yun is an illustrator and artist born in Seoul and worked as a freelancer for several years based in Korea. Since 2006, her work has been published by a variety of magazines and book publishers, Also appeared on t-shirts, packaging, album cover, music festivals and television. As well as doing commissions for a range of clients across the world, she also finds time to do her own artwork for a exhibition and book project. The awarding of 3×3 International Illustration Show No.13 / 2016 – Gold, YCN professional awards 2014 – winner, UNKNOWN ASIA AWARDS Exhibition 2017 Jam Factory (Bangkok), UNKNOWN ASIA EXTRA 2015 DAIBIRU&DOJIMA CROSS WALK (Japan), AOI Illustration Awards 2014 Somerset House (London). Now She lives and works between Seoul and London, trying to connect her to the world with images that she is creating.
